Welcome

Welcome to the Disease Vectors Database. This database has been developed as a central repository of occurrence data for the vector and reservoir species responsible for the transmission of infectious diseases. The database currently contains records of the vectors responsible for the transmission of Chagas disease, dengue, leishmaniasis, and malaria. Records of the reservoirs for Chagas disease and leishmaniasis are also included. These records can be searched using a number of different fields: accession number, collection date, country, disease, genus, latitude, longitude, reference, region, and species. Complete datasets for each vector and reservoir can also be downloaded.

The data contained in the database were obtained both as a result of a literature search and through submissions from collaborators. We invite individuals in possession of occurrence data for vectors or reservoirs to contribute their data to the database.

The database is currently undergoing some updates, please email us if you need data.
